Help Me Pay For College

Last year, I experienced a devastating loss - my beloved mother passed away unexpectedly while I was in my first week of college. I faced the heartbreaking loss of the most important person in my life. It shattered my world, and the pain has been difficult to bear. My mom was not only my biggest supporter, but she was also my rock. Her passing left an immense void in my heart and has drastically altered the course of my life. Life has led me through unexpected challenges, and my path through college has been no exception.
She believed deeply in the power of education and made countless sacrifices to see me chase my dreams. Her love, drive, and relentless pursuit of giving my siblings and I a better life afforded me the opportunity to reach this point in my educational journey. However, with her sudden departure, I am now confronted with substantial financial burdens as I approach my second year of college. With the help of financial aid, scholarships, and grants, I managed to cover some of my college expenses. However, I still face a considerable outstanding balance and I'm determined to carry on with my education and honor my mom's dreams. I've set up a plan to pay off the remaining amount through monthly installments. But, I must admit, the prospect of having to pay around $2,000 every month is quite out of reach.
Although, this is not a sufficient plan for long term, I am currently taking opportunities to showcase campus leadership with the goal of becoming a resident assistant next year. This will be a huge impact to my financial burden. By taking on this role, I can receive housing benefits which will be a significant help. Additionally, I am actively seeking out leadership opportunities on campus. This past summer I became an Orientation & Transition leader helping students become acclimated on campus and serving as a mentor and guide. I am also continuously applying for scholarships that align with my achievements and experiences as they will enable me to focus on my studies.
I am fighting to continue building the life my mom knew I could create. I carry her in my spirit with me in every class I attend, every assignment I complete, and every act of service I participate in. Your generous contributions will not only alleviate but will also honor my mother’s dreams and help me by allowing me to continue my education. Even if you can't contribute financially, your encouragement and sharing this message means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your love and support makes all the difference.
