FSSP Nigeria Church Building Fund
Donation protected
This fundraiser is to to help build a traditional Catholic Church in Nigeria. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter runs the parish of Nne Enyemaka, Igbo for Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The parish is the site of a Marian Shrine in Umuaka, Imo State, Nigeria. The parish was erected by the former bishop of the Orlu diocese here in Nigeria to be a place for the traditional Latin Mass in Nigeria, and from it other communities of popped up in places such as Lago and Port Harcourt.
This is a growing and thriving community here in Nigeria and are trying to construct a church here to serve the people of Umuaka and the surrounding area. Plans for the church, which is under construction, will be posted here as well.
It would mean the world for the parish here to have a permanent place to worship, and traditional Catholic church to call home. The people of the area on average make less than $10 a day, so constuction has been slow, going only when there is enough money to do the work.
The people of Nne Enyemaka Parish want to deeply thank you for your generiousity and will pray for all benefactors. Additionally, Mass is said every Sunday for the benefactors of the parish.
