It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved father, Carlos M. Gonzales.

Carlos courageously battled ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a progressive neurodegenerative condition that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Two years ago, he began experiencing slurred speech, which led to his diagnosis of ALS. Over time, the disease caused increasing weakness and paralysis, but through it all, Carlos remained a pillar of strength, resilience, and love for his family.

Carlos lived by the motto FSU – “Fuck Shit Up for Life” a testament to his bold spirit, unwavering determination, and refusal to let anything hold him back. Even in the face of ALS, he embodied this mindset, inspiring everyone around him with his courage and fight.

We can’t help but reflect on how hard he fought, how inspiring he was, and what an incredible warrior he continued to be despite all odds.

Carlos never gave up, and his determination will forever be a reminder of his remarkable spirit. As we come to terms with this devastating loss, we are now faced with significant financial challenges. We are raising funds to help cover any unforeseen expenses accumulated during his care. All contributions, no matter how small, will go a long way toward honoring his memory and easing the financial burden on our family.
