Ft Blakeley State Park, AL educational program

My name is Frank Siltman and I’m coordinating this effort to transport 2 reproduction Civil War cannon from Northern IL to portray the 15th Massachusetts Battery, a Union artillery unit at a historical educational program at Fort Blakeley State Park, AL 31 Mar. The rising cost of gas has made this effort extremely expensive with trucks and trailers. Your donation will help defray the cost of these volunteers trying support this historical education program for the public. This will only cover part of the cost, but it helps!!

I’m a military museum professional who is dedicated to sharing history with the public and I myself have experienced the expense of assisting state park programs and the National Park Service conduct public history programs. I want this event to be a success and I’m trying to help these selfless volunteers to defray the expenses.
