FT. LEE - FT. PICKETT BARBERS ON ULP STRIKE
Hello,
Today, the military barbers’ strike that began as a strike over pay has now escalated to an unfair labor practice (ULP) strike.
The military barbers’ union representative, LIUNA Public Service Employees Local 572 (Local 572), filed (3) three ULP's against the employer, Sheffield Barbers, after they bypassed the union and negotiated higher pay for one barber so that he would continue working and not join the strike. Sheffield has also taken from the members wages to pay for equipment that is the responsibility of the contractor, per the collective bargaining agreement.
Please show your support by Contacting Sheffield Owners & AAFES. Tell them to get the Union Barbers back to work!

Approximately 20 barbers that service "The Army Troops & Veterans" went on strike on July 4, 2021 to protest Sheffield Brothers’ last, best, and final offer made during union negotiations.
Sheffield Barbers LLC has proposed a mere $.06 pay increase per haircut for the next (3) three years while the price of haircuts increase.
Truly,
Local Union 572
