Causes include: fluid retention, the womb wandering around the body, witchcraft, demonic possession, reading novels, shamelessness, overeducation, and ambition.
The term is controversial as it was once regarded as a disease specific to women.

I was in an Anthropology class at UCLA, studying deviant behavior when I discovered the concept known as "Deep Play". Clifford Geertz uses it when discussing the Balinese cockfights, referring to the behavioral choice of betting on stakes so high it's unreasonable to partake in - but they do anyways. This concept stuck deeply with me because it seemed to be, in a class about human behavior, the most human of things; to risk so much just for the shot at more.
At the heart of this story lies choices, and the women who make them, because that has always been at the heart of the stories that stayed with me the most. Women who make complicated choices, strange choices, desperate choices, and even wrong choices. This film is my love letter to them, their choices - whatever they may be- and the way those choices make them feel.
Our goal for this story is ultimately bigger than one single short film; we see this as the beginning to a larger story, a deeper world. It is the first of our anthology, but definitely not the last.

katherine myers is an Atlanta born, Los Angeles based writer and director. A recent graduate of UCLA's English department, telling stories has always been a main focus of hers. Other passions include traveling, aestheticism, and cats.

harrison berger is an artist, writer, director and producer from Scottsdale, Arizona. Did someone say quadruple threat? He has an undying passion for storytelling. and had originally poured his entire creative being into illustration and fine art for years to eventually become a comic book artist, but 7 years ago while watching Quentin Tarantino's film "Django: Unchained" harrison came to the realization that he had to make films.
harrison is the writer and director of the short wester film "Pull Back the Hammer' and is a co-founder of Longest Title Productions. harrison is constantly surrounded by something that inspires him and trys to find a story in everything, because he believes everything and everyone has a story to be told. And if possible, every story should be heard.

ray james banna, is the CEO and founder of RJB Productions, a production company that tells the big picture without forgetting the little details.
Growing up as a first generation American in a Middle Eastern household, ray knew he wanted to pursue storytelling in any way he could, whether it be acting, film making, or directing.
ray has his first feature documentary coming out in 2020 that follows communities empowering the youth to pursue a life of fulfillment through education and vocation.
In addition to being recognized at film festivals, ray has been featured on many platforms such as Yahoo, MTV, Seventeen magazine and Forbes.
