FTP206 Vehicle Purchase

FTP206 is a grassroots organization that provides mutual aid to the Seattle & Greater King County Community. The foundation of our organization’s work is encoded in the name itself- FTP stands for Feed The People (206 is the area code for Seattle.) This all volunteer group has been feeding the unhoused community in Seattle on a weekly basis since January 18th 2021. In addition to cooking hot meals on-site, we also provide weather appropriate clothing, hygiene kits, camping supplies, and harm reduction items and services.

We are happy to say that our community building efforts have reached a point where we need to purchase a dedicated vehicle for our efforts. We found a great deal on a Dodge Ram 1500 van that would make a versatile tough vehicle for all of our mutual aid needs. Throughout the week the van will be used to pick up donations from people and local businesses, to make Costco and other store runs for supplies and food, and do meal deliveries to our houseless neighbors. The van will also be used to transport people and their belongings during the inhumane “sweeps” the City of Seattle still thinks solves the houseless crisis. It will also be used to do odd jobs and favors throughout Seattle & communities abroad.
