JAKE'S RECOVERY

Hi,

My name is Sharon McKean. As you all may or may not know last Saturday night 07/04/22 a very beloved member of the hockey and skating community and also a very close family friend of ours Jake Ferrier was in a terrible accident doing what he loves most, skating.

Jake is currently in the PA Hospital in an induced coma with uncertainty around his recovery and amount of damage suffered.

Jake has suffered a traumatic brain injury and his future is in the hands of higher powers.

You who know Jake know that he is all heart. He would sacrifice anything to make somebody else’s day even slightly brighter. His smile and cheeky attitude is uplifting and he is in my eyes one of the very few truely selfless people I have the pleasure of knowing.

Jake has only just embarked on a journey of self improvement recently. This is due to him wanting to be the best man he can be for his gorgeous son Oliver who is only a few months old. He has made all of us so proud with his progress to date and we have never seen him so driven to better himself.

I ask all of you who may or may not know this beautiful young man to please get behind him and donate. He is going to wake up from this and the road ahead is going to be long and full of ups and down, let’s take one less worry away from this young man and give him the support we can.

let’s all not just donate but please pray and send your positive thoughts in this time. Not only Jake but his family are fighting this and if you know Jake’s family then you know that they are equally as selfless, caring, supportive and are all truely beautiful people.
