We have received the sad news that one of our own Fort Hill family, Alex (Miss McIntyre's class), has begun chemotherapy. As a school community, we want to offer our full support to Alex and his family as they navigate this challenging journey. Alex is only 6 years old and is full of life. He brings a smile to the face of anyone he comes into contact with and we want to support him over the difficult few months that lie ahead.
One of the side effects of Alex’s treatment is hair loss. In a touching show of solidarity, both Alex’s dad and grandad have decided to shave their heads in support of him and to raise awareness. Additionally, Mr. Patterson has also committed to shaving his head in support of Alex. This will be done on the 27th September in our school assembly hall.
We invite you to join us in this effort. You can sponsor this fundraising campaign either by clicking the link below or by sending a cash donation in an envelope clearly marked 'In Support of Alex'.
We deeply appreciate your generosity, prayers, and encouragement during this difficult time for Alex and his family. As a school, we are committed to standing with them and supporting them as best we can.
