Wendy Enright our beloved Mother, Grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend was diagnosed with two different cancers in 2017. Oncologists were able to successfully remove the threat of one of the cancers but our mom was not able to have the second tumor removed due to complications. This left our mom working really hard to stop the tumor from growing and spreading. We are so proud of her strength and determination of her daily fight to beat this. We all ask as "TEAM WENDY" advocates for any financial assistance that you are able to give to help her out with medical bills and treatment.
In Wendy's words: It's hard to articulate how seriously ill feels, it vacillates day to day. One day I might get up and feel empowered and hopeful, but then by evening when there is pain, the fear weighs heavy. It's hard to deny the presence of cancer when you feel it, and your body feels it. I've learned so much since my diagnosis but I am keenly aware of the unknowns. I am beyond grateful to everyone who has been there for me helping me in whatever ways they can and words of support sent my way from family and friends is what keeps me going.
Words are at time inadequate, but on one of my really bad days during chemo/radiation I received a great text that made me smile...my dear friend's response to my pain and fear was..."Oh, Wendy Dammit!"
This oddly cheered me up and reminded me that this isn't just about one person's struggle, but a fight we all are touched by or connected to. I thank everyone for your prayers, love and support.
Love,
Wendy
TEAM WENDY had an event scheduled for mid-June to show Wendy our love and to gather in support of her cancer struggles. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we chose to postpone this event. We are still, however, moving forward with Wendy’s GoFundMe as her treatments have doubled in cost and she is struggling financially. She needs us!
As a cancer diagnosis takes such a physical and emotional toll on one’s life, we are trying to lighten her financial burden in any way we can. We know that this virus has put many of family and friends in financial distress, but we are still asking from the bottom of our hearts for you to support Wendy. ANY amount you feel is comfortable for you to donate during these trying times, will be most appreciated. ANYTHING IS EVERYTHING to Wendy in sustaining her treatments.
Wendy means the world to us and is so special to our hearts. Your kindness and generosity will bring the joy and the heartbeat back to Wendy’s hope for the cure!
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts. Stay safe and bless you all for your consideration.
In love and hope,
TEAM WENDY
