Medical Expenses for Heart Transplant

Hello everyone,

As some of you have probably seen my Dad, Tom Houston, is currently admitted to the Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

Tom has suffered with congestive heart failure for a couple years and unfortunately, things have started to get worse and has caused the bottom chamber of his heart to start dying. His doctors have decided that they have done everything they can for him here in Bakersfield and that it would be best for him to be transferred to Cedar Sinai, which is ranked one of the top cardiology hospitals in the country. Once he is there, they will start the process of trying to get him on the heart transplant list.

We typically are not ones to ask for help, but in times like this it takes a village. We are looking to help relieve some of the stress and the financial burden by raising money to help with hotel and travel costs for my stepmom, Melinda Houston, while my dad is at Cedar Sinai.
