Fuel Alessandra's Passion for Dance

Hello, my name is Alessandra Tieri. I am 10 years old and dance at Movement Dance Studio in Danbury, CT. I have been dancing since the age of 3 and it has been my love and passion ever since.

As I have gotten older, I have embraced different dance styles and classes. This is my second year competing around the state. During my first season of competition (2023) I was very proud to have placed 3rd in the top 10 and to have received an invitation/scholarship to a dance convention. I have doubled my work load by adding another solo in a different genre. I find it challenging at times to delegate my time between school, dance and my other extra curricular activities but after working so hard I find it incredibly rewarding. This past season, which concluded in April of 2024, I won judges awards and placed top 3 in all competitions, even winning 1st place at my last competition!

I volunteer my time before class on Wednesdays to teach the 2-3 year old Creative Movement class, of which my little sister Celia is one of the dancers!

In the hopes to develop my skills each year, I attend summer camps, additional classes throughout the season and conventions around the country. With all of this comes a heavy financial commitment for my family.
