Fuel Charlie's Journey to World Championship

Donation protected
Charlie Bowlen is a 15-year-old freestyle trampoline athlete from Summit County, Utah. He has been selected to compete in the Freestyle Trampoline Association World Championship in Barcelona, Spain this September.

Freestyle Trampoline is an up-and-coming sport that originated from teens posting videos of trampoline tricks on social media. It is very much a youth counter-culture type sport, similar to Snowboarding and Skateboarding in the years before they became Olympic events. In 2023, ESPN included freestyle trampoline for the first time in a highlight reel.

The FTA World Championship opened a Men’s Junior division (ages 13-15) this year. Charlie is the first and only US athlete in this division.

They will be competing on a Eurotramp 5x5 m. These high-level Eurotramp 5 square trampolines deliver more height and rotation which allows athletes better control. Eurotramp 5 square are available at select trampoline parks in Finland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands but there are none in the US.
We are attempting to get Charlie access to a similar caliber trampoline as he prepares for competition in Barcelona.

There are no local youth clubs or teams to give support. We are fundraising to help defer the cost of Charlie’s training and travel for this competition.
