Title: Help Me Embark on a Life-Changing Study Abroad Journey!

My name is Helen, and I am currently at WVU majoring in Multidisciplinary Studies: focusing on international business, communication, and sociology student with a dream to study abroad. As an advocate for global understanding and cultural exchange, I believe that immersing myself in a different culture will not only enrich my academic experience but also broaden my perspective on the world.

The program I have been accepted to offers an unparalleled opportunity to study Gastro-Diplomacy and Entrepreneurship in Thailand this May. During this program, we'll have the opportunity to visit farm-to-table businesses, bustling street markets, and serene temples. We'll also engage in hands-on activities such as weaving silk, dying fabrics, pottery making, and learning to cook authentic Thai cuisine. This unique experience will not only deepen our understanding of Thai culture but also provide insights into entrepreneurship in a postcolonial world. By participating in this program, I will gain a newfound appreciation for the complexities of business in a global context.

Despite my determination to embark on this journey, I am faced with a significant financial challenge. While the Gilman scholarship has provided some assistance, I still find myself falling short of the funds needed to fully cover the costs.

Setting up a GoFundMe campaign and reaching out for help was not something I initially planned to do. However, after receiving a few suggestions and considering my options, I decided to take these step-in hopes of making my study abroad dream a reality.
