Fuel Kaity & Emilia's Horror Comedy Dream… or else!

Hi, my name is Kaity Cairo and I'm an

undergraduate acting major at the University of California, Los Angeles. Fellow acting student Emilia Vial and I are producing and starring in a horror comedy short film called Pointe of Obsession, and we need your help!

Written and directed by Anjelica Hymel, the story is about a deranged and heartbroken dancer who kidnaps her ex-girlfriend to teach her a lesson…

Pointe of Obsession is a women-led queer film production led by Bimbos Theatre Company, an organization committed to empowering female-identifying artists and stories. The film has been written, produced, and stars undergraduate women to shine a light on queer representation in the contemporary horror genre. Our goals are to represent the experience of queer female artists vying for success in a patriarchal and heteronormative entertainment society. We hope that with this film, Bimbos may inspire change in how the entertainment and performance industry, on whatever scale, acknowledges queer strife both in fiction and in real life. Among the student body, we hope to represent and therefore empower such individuals who feel their passions and struggles have gone unnoticed until now.

This money will be used to help bring the film to life by transforming the soundstage into a creepy ballet annex, costuming the actors in fun ballet-core fits, and submitting this film to film festivals hopefully for public recognition!
