Fuel Mark Smith's Mission to Help NC flood victims

Donation protected
My name is Mark Smith, and I have lived in Jacksonville, Florida, for the past 29 years.

I have spent the last 2 weeks volunteering my time and services to the flood victims of western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene. I am a retired ER physician who has been working in Urgent Care, Telemedicine, and Corrections for the last 10 years. I last served as the medical director for the Duval County Jail in downtown Jax, caring for over 4 thousand patients who are incarcerated. My passion is helping people in times of need, whether that be due to natural disasters or some other tragedy or life event. In the past 20 years, I have volunteered myself during disasters including the Missouri floods and Hurricane Andrew in 1993, Hurricane Katrina in 2004, Haiti in 2010, and now western North Carolina. My experience has allowed me to lead relief efforts and go directly to those who need assistance the most. Money raised will be used to fuel my truck and purchase comfort items for individuals and families who have lost everything they own due to the great flood on September 27th, 2004. Please help support my cause caring for our neighbors in Asheville, North Carolina, and the Swannanoa Valley.
