We are setting our GoFundMe grassroots community goal at $100,000! We have currently raised $335,000 from private donors and continue to seek leadership level gifts. The Montpelier Performing Arts Hub represents the combined vision of local performing artists and preservationists, with the goal of purchasing and repurposing the Gary Library on the campus of the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont. Plans include a flexible, state-of-the-art black box theater, a vibrant café and bar space buzzing with artistic energy, and a suite of classroom and studio spaces where aspiring performers and audiences of all ages can learn, grow, and collaborate. With your investment, MPAH will be much more than just a building.

This venue will provide the region with the space for artistic expression and community connection by harnessing the power of our community to create an organization that fosters new artists under the mentorship of the rich network of creatives nestled in our foothills. Montpelier's cultural landscape is rich but incomplete — desperately in need of a dedicated, shared space for the performing arts for all ages and interests. MPAH will change that, offering a professionally-managed venue that welcomes diverse community groups and celebrates the depth of artistic talent in our community. This project is also about reclaiming and reimagining a historic building, and breathing new life into a beloved landmark. The Montpelier Performing Arts Hub will stand as Central Vermont's premier community arts destination, offering accessible facilities and ample parking, a mere stroll away from the vibrant heart of our downtown.
