Fuel Siren's Nonprofit Career Aspirations

My name is Siren, the personality behind the Runawaysiren940 YouTube channel. I create content that is radical feminist and gender critical. For the past four years, I have been regularly creating videos about topics such as misogyny, sexism, homophobia, and criticizing a lack of critical thinking. This hobby was been my pride and joy, as it has allowed me to connect with other like minded people, and to educate on many topics that are often under-discussed.

I have been admitted to a counseling post graduate program beginning in January 2025, and I hope to use this certification to work within the nonprofit field to work within women shelters, rape crises services, and with anti-human trafficking agencies. My previous experience volunteering with charities centered around women's rights and safety is joined by my current work in Phnom Penh, Cambodia at a nonprofit animal shelter.

Unfortunately, the wages afforded to my position are not enough to save for further education. By funding the first semester of this program, I will be able to begin the program on time, and have enough time to save up for the rest of the program. My dream has long been to become a therapist, and I want nothing more than to remain in the NGO field as I achieve accreditation.
