Fuel the Quicksand Stage at King Biscuit

Tax deductible
The stage has moved to 200 York St, where the old Lockwood stage was. The park got condemned because some loose bricks fell. WE have a new location, please support the music.

The King Biscuit Blues Fest is one of the greatest Blues Festivals in the World. Part of what makes it so great is the authenticity and rawness of where the BLUES all began, The Mississippi Delta. All the original blues musicians started out as street performers, "Buskers". Heck The King of the Blues, B.B. King, started playing on a street corner at Second & Church St. in Indianola Mississippi. The buskers, at the King Biscuit are one of the critical ingredients that makes the Biscuit so great.

There is a little stage, at Thad Kelly Park, 415 Cherry St in Helena Arkansas called "The Quicksand Stage". During the festival, "Buskers" are scheduled from 1 to 7 pm, and they play for tips. The money raised from this "Go Fund Me" goes to those musicians and helps pay for operating the Quicksand Stage.

The Windy City Blues Society, is a 501 c 3, non profit ,public charity based in Chicago. Our primary focus is to support the Blues Music Art form. Many members of the Blues Society regularly attend the King Biscuit. As a 501 C 3 more of your donation goes to the cause.

Check out the web page dedicated to the Quicksand / Buskers Stage at the King Biscuit. P.S. The festival does not recognize or fund the stage. Quicksand / Buskers Stage
