Fuel Tyler and Forrest's Journey for Cool Earth
Tax deductible
Hello!
We are Tyler and Forrest Honnold, two siblings taking on the Poles of Inconvenience Rally this summer with The Adventurists. Essentially, the two of us will be driving a tiny vehicle to remote and hard to reach points all throughout Europe and North Africa, having fun, competing against other international teams, and raising money for Cool Earth along the way.
You can read more about the rally at this link here:
Some more about us:
We are both born and raised in Sacramento, California, sharing a mutual love of travel. We grew up reading fantasy stories full of epic quests, and may have a bit of a desire to live them out ourselves.
Tyler turns 28 on the rally. They've been working in rope access for the last five years, first on wind turbines all throughout the United States and now restoring and repairing historic buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are working towards a Human Anthropology degree with Oregon State University and have an emphasis in linguistic anthropology. The mechanic of our operation - Tyler has built a number of cars and bikes, and is great with their hands ;)
Forrest is 25. By day they work as a high school English and Theater teacher, working with critical populations of students in the Sacramento area. They are in progress for a Masters degree in Language and Literacy, researching ways in which theatre education builds critical literacy skills in children and young adults. By night, Forrest moonlights as a drag artist and photographer, working in queer performance art and nightlife. Forrest is the navigator - ready to break down any situation and steer our little engine that could toward success!
It would mean the world if you could help us reach our fundraising goal. We are passionate about our adventure together, but we are even more passionate about stewarding a healthy planet for generations to come. We hope you can benefit us with a generous donation to Cool Earth. We appreciate your time!
