Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laura Stein, I am helping a friend raise money and awareness of a rare Syndrome called Angelman Syndrome, I work with Chasity who came to me for help to get this information out and help her family do a fundraiser. I met Waylon and his mom (Bailey), Dad (Tyler), sister (Oaklynn). Waylon will be 2 years old on the 16th of this month, he doesn’t walk or talk but is a very happy boy. This family will have a lot upcoming appointments consisting of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy , we are raising money for gas for traveling to these appointments, money to cover costs that insurance doesn’t cover and have some for a trust fund for Waylon, the family would also like to donate money for research for this rare syndrome. A little about this Syndrome: Angelman Syndrome is a complex genetic disorder that primarily affects the nervous system. Characteristics features of this condition include delayed Development, intellectual disability, severe speech impairment, and problems with movement and balance. Most affected children also have recurrent seizures (epilepsy). Delayed development becomes noticeable by the age of 6 to 12 months, and symptoms usually appear in early childhood.
