Help for Jeanette

The day before Jeanette's 52nd birthday she was told she had cancer. This came as a huge surprise, being a very healthy person and not having any medical conditions that require any type of daily medicines.
The doctors have told her that this particular type of cancer is a one in a million chance, but it is treatable. There are very few surgeons that perform this type of surgery (called de-bulking followed by direct chemo) but the closest one is in Spokane, Wa. Spokane being approximately 6 hours away there is no way to commute to work in Portland or travel more than a few times during recovery. The surgery is expected to last around 9 hours and then 3 weeks of recovery in the hospital and recovery at home for months after returning home. Surgery is scheduled for the day before thanksgiving.
I have used up almost all of my FMLA dependent care time allowed at my job and most of my remaining vacation time to go to follow up appointments, ct scans and such.
The funds requested will help pay for travel, lodging, meals and everyday expenses while Jeanette is in the hospital and will allow for me to be with her during recovery. We have three children at home and can also use help with minor child care but they will have supervision from neighbors and grandparents while we are away. Surgery is only 3 weeks away so funds are needed soon. Thanks
