Fulfill the mission of OWNERSHIP

Queen Yenn here! Excited to be at this stage of the journey. It's been intense but all worth it. For you who are new to this journey I speak of, I am on a journey to ownership of Oyun Botanical Gardens, a beautiful natural and organic, eco-therapeutic garden located in East Point Ga. This garden has been a staple in the community for over 20 years now, originally established and operated as a non-profit organization (Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture) that helped to establish deep roots for urban agriculture in the Metro Atlanta area. It has been a hub for natural and organic food, gardening classes and camps, horticulture therapy programming, garden tours, farm to table events, and more for the community throughout the last 20 years.

In 2022 the property was placed on the market and was almost sold. The City of East Point jumped in and helped me to find someone willing to temporarily invest in this mission, resulting in the CEO of Arden’s Garden, a fellow East Point business, jumping in to help keep it from being sold to anyone else. Ultimately this unfolded as a Lease to Purchase agreement that is providing me the time to gather the resources to make the purchase, which is happening…

but my ULTIMATE goal is to purchase the property out right! 

No debt, no risk of loss ever again!

In addition to continuing to be a space where the community can secure natural and organic food and learn how to grow, Oyun Botanical Gardens has expanded to be a space where individuals and families can find a wide range of wellness products, services, classes, and events.

You can shop for your natural personal care products, herbal supplements and tinctures, aromatherapeutic products, and more inside and on market days; attend guided meditations, sound bath experiences, and relaxing and rejuvenating day retreats each month; become a member of our food program and receive fresh natural and organic produce throughout the month; attend our outdoor events in the warmer months and enjoy live music, food, a full bar, and excellent vibes. This and so much more can be expected at the garden throughout the year providing a space for locals to enjoy nature, good times, good people, and always good vibes.

This type of space is needed in all communities if you ask me and it’s a blessing to have such a space on the Southside of Atlanta so close to the city and the airport.

It is my mission to do all that I can to keep this space open and thriving for many many many years to come! Will you help me.

However we slice it, IT’S DOABLE!!

So whats the why? Why support this mission?

Firstly, stress is one of the top contributors to chronic disease in this country and SO MUCH research shows that time spent in stress reducing environments, like the garden, can significantly improve individuals quality of life.

Secondly, our children, elders, and families in general deserve spaces like this in all communities. A break from the everyday stresses without having to travel too far.

Lastly, wellness is our wealth! One of the best things you can provide your self, your family and/or this world is the best version of yourself, the WELL you and we are here to help you achieve that.

Oh and I can not go without honorably mentioning: This property was originally owned by a beautiful sistah whom I respectfully call Mama Melinda, whose heart’s desire was to see this property remain in the community as a green space of wellness. Truly Living Well was the first dreamkeeper. I have now picked up the baton.
