Fulfilling Rylan's Dreams

On May 26, 2021, Mike and Marisa received news that no parent ever wants to receive. Rylan, who was only five years old, was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of brain cancer. He had brain surgery on May 28th, 2021, to remove the brain tumor. Due to the diagnosis of being a rare and aggressive form of cancer, they moved to St. Jude’s in Memphis, Tennessee. While there, Rylan underwent six weeks of radiation and four months of chemotherapy.

A few days before Rylan was scheduled to leave, his scans had showed a new spot, this time on his spine. He was given a 6-week break before returning to St. Jude’s to discuss the next steps and a treatment plan. During the past 6-weeks at home, Rylan celebrated his 6th birthday, practiced his WWE moves on his brother Travis and spent time with his family.

Today on 3/3/2022, Mike and Marisa received even more devastating news where their worlds shattered the moment they heard the doctors say, “cancer has spread, and he has less than three months to live.” Rylan’s parents have asked me to start this go fund me to help raise money to help them make the most memories possible when they have left with him. No money can fix what is going on, but we can come together and help this family make some fantastic memories with the time they have left! Marisa is a teacher, and Mike is a Captain Paramedic. Since Rylan’s diagnosis in May, they both have taken time off work, and both have endured such a financial hardship that they genuinely need our help.

Rylan wants to go to the beach, and he wants to swim with the dolphins. Whatever money raised through this go fund me will go directly to ensuring Rylan gets to do the things he wants to do and see the places he wants to see. Even if you can only donate $1.00, every bit helps.
