Please help Eileen get her urgent spinal surgery.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sinead aka Bonnie and I am organising a fundraising event in aid of my Mum's urgent spinal surgery.
I am not asking for money with nothing to give in return as I hold full moon events and will be dedicating the next gathering on August 2nd to her surgery costs and I invite you all to join us.
We shall have a big fire for all of the chats, deep breaths and marshmallows, an optional dance/movement warm up and the big howling run to the sea. The choons and vibes will be provided :)
You can come along for the connection and beautiful energy if sea swimming isn't your thing.

A bit of info on my Mums medical/health situation:
She has rheumatoid arthritis, osteo arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and hypermobility amongst many other things throughout the years including kidney problems.
She already had bulging discs and has been on crutches for a long time and can't even put her shoes on properly etc. but she was coping as she is used to pain from her life-long conditions.
in 2022 she had a hip replacement in her left leg and her leg lengthened and it hasn't gone right with nerve damage and other problems which now needs another operation (we only found out last week so she hasn't had that yet).
in May 2023 she ruptured two of her lower discs after a bad fall due to her other ailments.
She has degenerative disc disease in her spine too and her nerves have been affected badly and she now has permanent nerve damage in her leg and foot which isn't getting better. The pain and urgent care my mum needed was not given by the public sector and it was an extremely distressing time for the whole family. I am shocked and horrified and I feel awfully sad for the vulnerable people with no one to advocate for them.
Her two legs are now affected badly.
Only for a kind doctor in the private sector and cash savings, we were gratefully able to pay for temporary treatment.
She had a nerve ablation in her spine, an epidural and facet joint injections and MRI's and medications which has cost nearly €3000 and she will need the procedure again soon as it wears off.
We paid to see a neuro consultant privately and it's confirmed that she needs surgery.
The public list just to see the consultant is 3 years and I refuse to see my mum live with this quality of life until then.
So we have had to take actions into our own hands and gratefully so, that we can with amazing people around supporting us.
My mum is superficially "ok" at the moment in terms of her pain level with her newest injury but it's not going to last and she is suffering from her mobility bad, nerve damage and the list goes on.
The operation alone is €7000.
I will be holding another fundraiser with amazing prizes also as a separate fundraiser.
If by magic my mum gets called in to get the procedure done publicly then I will donate the Go Fund me money to a local cause.
There is so much I could share but I wanted to keep it factual and informative. My mum was worried about me doing this as she says there are people worse off but my Mum in her present life is suffering and it is not a comparative game because EVERYONE deserves urgent medical care and a good quality of life without having to fight for it.
You will see her now out and about on her good days and may think she looks great and yes to what she was before the procedure she is but when she comes home after pushing herself for the sake of her wellbeing you will see a woman in pain, fatigued, tired and emotionally wrecked from the battle she is facing each day and the procedure is just a temporary mask for a deeper problem.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Lots of love xxxxx
