Fulltime Freedom Mexico House Build Fundraiser

Hi! Doug Boughton here from Fulltime Freedom. We are sponsoring 2 homes to be built for families in need. All of the logistics, materials, food, transportation, accommodations, and local donations have been paid for. Our goal is to raise additional funds for add-ons like solar panels, water tanks, furniture, and bedding. 3 years ago I went down to Ensenada, Mexico to build a home for a family in need. This family with 3 children under the age of 5 were living in a single room hut with no floor.⁣ In 3 days we were able to build an insulated two bedroom home to get them off the dirt floor. ⁣It didn’t require any money from me. Just my time and a little bit of labor and love. ⁣

After volunteering on several builds now, my company decided that this mission is something extremely special to us, something we wanted to be more involved with, and we are going to fund builds of our own in conjunction with Baja Bound.

Last month, our vision came to fruition and we funded our first build for a beautiful family of 5 with 25 volunteers. It’s hard to put into words the gratitude and overwhelming feeling of joy I feel as I reflect back on those few days. We are looking forward to continuing these builds because it truly gives us a bigger purpose than just a revenue goal. We now have a goal of building 100 homes in Baja, Mexico.

Our next build is June 2nd-4th where we are funding two homes for two beautiful families (we'll provide details on those families below). Fulltime Freedom is funding the builds themselves including all the materials and labor costs which covers the volunteer's housing and meals.

The reason for this fundraiser is to raise additional funds to support the families and community. Our company's donation will give them a safe, dry, and warm place to raise their family but there are always some additional items that would help them thrive. There is a list of add-ons such as a fresh water tank, new bedding, solar panel system, or stove & we get an opportuntity to ask the family what would best serve them when we meet them in person. We will also be volunteering at a food shelter, animal shelter, and orphanage & will be making a donation to each place we stop.

All funds raised here will be directly donated to the additional items that the families we are building for need or donated back to the community organizations we volunteer with.
