Fumiyo's Medical Fund

I have made this site for Fumiyo Takano, to help raise money for her as she goes through treatment for cancer. We belong to the same Japanese American community, and she has always been generous with her time and energy, playing the piano at many of our events.

Fumiyo is a single mother who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Her medical insurance requires high co-payments, and she is being overwhelmed with medical bills while still trying to provide for her teenage son, who lives at home.  Her friends and I encouraged her to to accept asking her community for help in this way.

Please give what you can to help this family make it through this very stressful time. Fumiyo will eventually have to take time off work and will need to pay for her living expenses on top of the medical bills.  The more we can help her financially, the more she can focus on taking care of herself through her treatments.
