Support Chippenham Fire Station’s Fundraiser

Chippenham fire crews will be conducting a range of fundraising activities to raise money for two excellent causes, with 50% of the funds raised being used to purchase a Public Access Defibrillator for the local community, and the other 50% being donated to the Fire Fighters Charity (a registered charity in England & Wales (No. 1093387)).

Public Access Automatic External Defibrillator

The British Heart Foundation estimates that there are around 3,100 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests each year in the Southwest of England. Furthermore, figures published by the London Ambulance Service in 2020 show that when a Public Access AED was used by a bystander the survival rate was more than five times higher.

The Fire Fighters Charity

The charity offers specialist support to serving and retired members of the UK Fire and Rescue Service and their spouses/dependents, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.
