Fund a Student's Dental Mission to Jamaica

I am seeking financial support to travel to Jamaica for an international dental hygiene educational experience. This experience is going to enhance my professional development as well as increase my understanding of healthcare in a different country and culture. If given this opportunity, it will strengthen my ability to serve others with a diverse population like we have here on campus in our clinic.

As a student of the dental hygiene program at Pacific University, I am committed to becoming a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional. This travel experience goes hand-in-hand with my academic goals as well as my passion for providing diverse care, all of which will be important in shaping my future practice and role in the dental field.

However, this opportunity comes with financial challenges of which I need help overcoming. Having already been accepted to attend this international education opportunity, the only obstacle I am facing is the financial burden. To fully seize the opportunity to travel to Jamaica, I am seeking financial support to cover the cost of travel as well as lodging. This experience is going to better prepare me for serving patients in a variety of settings. I will be able to approach my future career with a better understanding of global health and the challenges that individuals face all over the world. I, with your help, will be a public health servant, contributing to the improvement of oral health of Jamaicans as offered by Pacific University.
