Fund AI Innovation, Chengdu Study Abroad

Hello everyone!
I’m Cameron, a 16-year-old dual-enrolled student from the West Coast, driven to revolutionize language education with AI, making it affordable, effective, and global. I’m fundraising for a 5-week G-MEO program in Chengdu, China, to jump start this mission and my future AI studies.
The 5-week G-MEO program in Chengdu, China, is where I will study the fundamentals of Python computer programming, essential to get into AI. I chose this city because it has significant developments in natural-language processing, home to 550+ AI firms, including notable tencent and huawei, and is a fast-growing region in terms of AI. It will benefit me 100x more than my home institution’s online course, which offers no face-to-face instruction. China is a leading figure in AI, making constant advancements. In my program city, UESTC, the #1 university for tech in Chengdu, I am passionate to further my studies; to not only use this program for coding, but to test the waters for a semester abroad at a leading institution in the region.
I am determined to bring this dream into reality. This is my last option, the countless scholarships I’ve reached out to both locally and nationwide do not offer an opportunity for me due to my age. The most my program can offer me is $800, this is not enough to cover all of my expenses. So, I ask you to read my story and consider investing into my cause. I have until next month to make this happen.
I am short $6,980, I will outline the fees here:
Flight : $1,000
Tuition fees: $3,500
Excursion fees: $200
Program deposit fee: $300
Housing abroad: $1,200
Visa fees: $130
International Insurance: $50
Transportation: $200
Food: $300
School/Tech supplies: $100
With this, I want to empower underserved nations lacking in education, Like in Kenya or Indonesia, where 1.5 million children lack schooling (UNICEF). If there is no opportunity present in their own region, I hope to empower students to unlock global possibilities through language, and hopefully make a difference within their own communities.
Thank you for your consideration. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful tool for change.” My mission is to make an impact that will shape the lives of the underprivileged and unseen. With access to global opportunities, students can make a difference not only within themselves but also in their own communities. By breaking down language barriers, I’m dedicated towards empowering individuals and creating a more connected world, one learner at a time.
