Fund Albi's Urgent Medical Needs

Hi I'm Eugen, and I would like you to meet Albi :)

Albi(male) should be around 1 year of age and 3.3kg, he appeared on my street around 6-7 days ago, not sure exactly how he got here but he’s been having a very tough time interacting with the other colonies that roam around my area.

For the past couple of days I’ve been trying to gain his trust in order to catch him as I’ve noticed he is suffering from severe burns on his ears and he was in dire need of medical attention.

I managed to finally gain his trust tuesday morning and immediately took him in to a local vet hospital where he is having the best medical care for the next 2-3 days @AlmaVeterinaria Sao Marcos.

Medical care which includes, treatment for his burns and infections, any parasites, all types of tests for any possible diseases, and being neutered if his condition will allow it at this time.

So far his medical bill is 504.25 euros, but the hospital also shared with me an estimate cost for ear amputation surgery as it believed his burns could cause cancerous tumors. Estimated cost is 607.35 euros. If the surgery is to go trough they will also neuter him at the same time, which i believe will increase the cost further!

So far he out of any imediate danger, and he is still at the hospital, and im waiting for more news today about his conditions and double checks on the tests regarding the need for ear amputation.

The main goal at the moment is to get him well and happy, whilst im looking for a family to adopt him since he is an alibino cat he needs to be indoors at all times and cannot be in direct sunlight, that how he got his injuries to begin with out in the street.

I would have adopted him straigh away but i already have 6 cats and we can not afford any more :( as one of my other cats had to be hopitalized as well and his medical bill was 2500 euros which put us in a very diffcult situation at the moment.

In case we manage to find a home for him in the meantime, any funds we raise for Albi that we have not spent yet, will go to the person that will adopt him in order to continue his treatment :)
