Fund Alex Simcsuk's Trumpet for Music Education

Hi, my name is Chris Eudy and I am honored to be raising funds for my foster son, Alex Simcsuk.

Alex has been in my care since October 2022. There are always difficult circumstances surrounding going into foster care; and, through it all, Alex has shown himself to be very resilient as well as a caring and compassionate young man.

He has been playing the trumpet in the high school orchestra, jazz band and marching band for his four years in high school, and he also participated for three years in middle school. He has attended several symposia since I have known him and he strives for excellence in this field.

He was so influenced by his experience at Western Carolina Band Camp last summer that he has decided to pursue a Music Education degree at the same university starting Fall 2024!

I am thankful that, as a society, we have decided to help those who age out of foster care on a number of fronts. Most of Alex's educational costs along the way will be covered in one way or another. Unfortunately, none of those particular resources will pay for a new trumpet.

The school has provided this trumpet to Alex during high school, and one like this will serve him well at WCU. A local musician has graciously offered to sell one to Alex for $1500! If we raise that amount, the trumpet will be paid in full. If more than $1500 is raised, the excess will go to other music supplies since they are not covered in any of his educational benefits.
