Fund Blossom’s Life-Saving FIP Treatment

Blossom the kitten is undergoing a promising treatment for an otherwise fatal disease. Your donation will help pay for the medicine and veterinary care to cure her and keep her with us. Blossom is a beautiful, mellow 5-month old kitten with a promising life! She was fostered by my wonderful aunt, and adopted into the care of my Mom & Lisa. She has always been playful, loving and happy.

With the hard work of Lani & Lisa, she is now in the fight for her life, this time with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a serious disease that until recently was invariably and quickly fatal.

The news that her declining health was likely due to FIP has been devastating for all of us. But there's hope in an experimental cure that has been studied by experts at UC Davis and has proven anecdotally effective for hundreds of sweet cats - even my Loki if you know me personally! Blossom already started injections (time is of the essence, as FIP often progresses very quickly), and is showing signs of improvement. She’s eating on her own, grooming, even playing a bit, a big leap for a kitty who just a few days ago had fluid in her chest and severe respiratory issues.

Continuing the ~12-week regimen of daily injections will cost near a thousand for Blossom, and the emergency veterinary care for her was near $2600. We will do absolutely everything we can to keep her here, but we need to humbly ask for help.

In addition to paying for vials of the lifesaving medicine, any donations will go toward paying for Blossom’s supplementary care—she'll need frequent vet visits to check her bloodwork and ensure that her condition is improving, prescriptions to manage pain, and syringes and other supplies. Lisa & Lani have already paid thousands in emergency care and are struggling to be able to finish his treatment on their own.

Keeping Blossom with us is the most important challenge Lisa & Lani have ever taken on. Anything you can give means the world to all of us—please help give this darling soul the long life of comfort and love that she so deserves.
