Help Fund Charlie's Healing Journey

Hi there! We are Paula and Stephanie, and we're organizing a fundraiser for our dear friend Nelle, and her kiddo, Charlie.

Just over 2 years ago, Charlie lived through the tragic and unexpected death of his/her father, Mark. Losing a parent is never easy, but it's especially difficult for a child to endure. Charlie has been on a long, challenging journey to work through grief, depression and PTSD associated with Mark's passing.

Charlie has countless cheerleaders, champions, and angels to lean on. If LOVE was enough, this kid would have been healed long ago. Unfortunately, the loss of Mark has been exceptionally traumatic for Charlie and there are many challenges to work through. In order to heal, Charlie requires full-time assistance from mental health professionals and the safety a residential treatment facility provides.

If you're like us, you'd love to help this beautiful family in a tangible way. Since Charlie's treatment center provides all the basics + round-the-clock care, the best way we can help Charlie is by helping Nelle ensure there isn't a timeline or limit to how long Charlie can remain at the treatment facility and receive the vital care he/she needs.

While insurance covers some of the costs, Nelle is shouldering the lion's share of Charlie's medical bills. To put things in perspective, Charlie has spent the last 5 months in treatment with an average cost of $1,000 per day. That totals nearly $150,000 in healthcare costs before any reimbursement insurance approves.

We believe every little bit helps, and we know there is no limit to God's provision. We are setting a lofty goal to cover two weeks of care for Charlie with the hopes of raising even more (God willing).
