Fund Conflict Resolution Training in Jamaica

Hi, my name is Christopher Barnes and I am the Chairman of PALS, short for “Peace and Love in Society”.

We are a registered charity established in Jamaica since 1994 dedicated to delivering conflict resolution-based curricula in schools across Jamaica and have grown to offer similar interventions in troubled communities across the country. We are the conveners of the renowned annual Peace Day event with national reach promoting peace across the island. PALS, like many other NGOs, relies on grant awards and private and public-sector sponsorship. While PALS successfully wins projects grants in its field of expertise, PALS needs supplemental funding for activities, both new and in support of maintaining a post-project presence in schools and communities. This funding, estimated at JMD10M per year (USD 65k), is why we are establishing this gofundme campaign and looking to the diaspora as well as friends of Jamaica for help in whatever way they can. Our affairs are governed by a board of directors and our accounts are audited annually to assure transparency on how your funds will be used.
