Support Dan's Rehab and Recovery

Donation protected
Dan Forstner was seriously injured in a fall while running near the Mississippi River on July 26. In an instant, his life and the lives of those around him changed. Dan is slowly and painfully regaining mobility after two back surgeries. He is currently in inpatient rehab, and we hope he can be discharged to home later this week. But he has months of difficult rehab and recovery ahead of him.

Dan will likely not return to teaching English at Washburn High School until second quarter. He's had to give up his part-time gig at Amazon and Agapi is on unpaid leave. Most importantly, Dan needs to focus on his own health and family right now without the added stress of insurance deductibles, medical bills and lost income. Your contribution of any amount will help.

You may know Dan from his years growing up in Fargo, his undergrad studies at St. John’s University, his time in New York City with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, or his teaching gigs at St. Olaf and the Minneapolis and St. Paul school districts. Those of us who know Dan are always impressed with his intelligence, kindness and generosity. Dan is an incredible father, husband, son, brother, uncle, teacher and friend. We hope you can help him, Agapi, Althea and Filia during this difficult time.
