Fund Daniel's medical outreach trip to Ghana.

Hello! My name is Daniel Lynn, and I’m a sophomore at the University of Alabama, double-majoring in microbiology and legal history on the pre-med track. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to travel to Ghana, Africa, for two weeks this May as a volunteer with UA’s chapter of Friends of MSF, an organization that helps support the work of Doctors Without Borders.
I will stay in the city of Kumasi and work with numerous physicians at one of the local hospitals, providing care and compassion to citizens of a country whose healthcare system is much different from our own. Additionally, I will have the chance to serve some of the villages surrounding Lake Bosomtwe by assisting with projects focused on renovation, childcare, and education. When I’m not at work, I’ll be able to visit Mole National Park as well as Ghana’s Cape Coast. I will be immersed in culturally rich environments and have the chance to learn traditional African drumming and dance, enjoy some of Ghana’s staple cuisines such as Fufu, and witness firsthand the practice of non-Western medicine.
This trip will be an amazing experience for me as I embark on my journey to becoming a doctor; however, it is quite expensive. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration!
