Fund Dawoud and Bushra's Hope for Peace

My name is Shadi Alzaeem , and am doing this in behalf of 2 beautiful souls in Gaza , here is their story as they telling. any amount is REALLY appreciated.

Hello, we are twins Dawoud and Bushra Akila. We are a family of five and have lived in Gaza since our childhood.

We grew up with the impact of 5 wars, in addition to the current sixth war, which is the most difficult.

We saw and are witnessing on a daily basis destruction in buildings and streets, as well as deaths and injuries.

Days after the start of the last war, the occupation forced us to leave our home in the sand area and move to southern Gaza .

This was the most difficult thing we went through, as we left behind our beautiful home, our memories, and our dreams. We left home with the hope that we would return within a few days to continue our family and academic life and achieve our dreams of completing... Our study.

We have had very difficult days in the south of the Gaza Strip, where we lack any necessities of life, whether water or food, and if they exist, their prices are very high, and we resorted to canned food if it was available.

We could hardly sleep because of the sounds of planes, artillery, naval boats, bombing, and the endless screaming and crying of children and women, which caused a constant feeling of fear.

Diseases are widespread due to the lack of hygiene items. There is no gas or electricity, and cooking and bathing depend on the availability of firewood.

We shower once every two weeks, and because of this pollution, I, Dawoud, contracted hepatitis, and I endured great pain for a long time.

I use some solutions and painkillers to relieve the constant pain resulting from this disease.

While we were waiting to return to our home and rebuild what could be built, we learned that our house had been burned and destroyed and nothing remained of our childhood memories, let alone everything we had in this house.

This war stole our dreams and hopes of completing our studies at a time when we were in the last year of school and our excellence was a source of pride for us and our families.

i Dawoud dreamed of studying renewable energy engineering to contribute to the development of this sector in my country.

As for me, Bushra, my dream was to study medicine in order to treat the people of my country and city or any patient I encounter in my life.

Helping us to complete our studies abroad is not your duty, but our hope in this world remains despite the pain and suffering, and your donations will give us an opportunity that we desperately need under these circumstances.

مرحبا، نحن التوأم داود وبشرى عكيله نحن عائلة مكونة من خمسة أفراد ونعيش في غزة منذ طفولتنا.

كبرنا على وقع 5 حروب بالإضافة إلى الحرب السادسة الحالية وهي الأصعب .

شاهدنا ونشاهد بشكل يومي دمارا في المباني والشوارع فضلا عن القتلى والجرحى.

بعد أيام من بدء الحرب الأخيرة أجبرنا الاحتلال على ترك منزلنا في منطقة الرمال والانتقال إلى جنوب غزه وكان هذا أصعب ما مررنا به , حيث تركنا خلفنا بيتنا الجميل وذكرياتنا وأحلامنا ، تركنا البيت على أمل أن نرجع خلال أيام قليلة لاستكمال حياتنا العائلية والدراسية ونحقق أحلامنا في استكمال دراستنا.

مرت علينا أيام صعبة جدا في جنوب القطاع , حيث تفتقر إلى أي مقومات للحياة سواء كانت ماء أوغذاء , وإن وجدت فأسعارها مرتفعة جدا ,ولجأنا إلى الأكل المعلب في حال توفره.

بالكاد نستطيع النوم بسبب أصوات الطائرات والمدفعية والزوارق البحرية والقصف وصياح وبكاء الأطفال والنساء الذي لا ينقطع وهو ما سبب شعورا دائما بالخوف.

الأمراض منتشرة بسبب عدم توفر عناصر النظافة , لا يوجد غاز أو كهرباء , والطهي والاستحمام يعتمد على توفر الحطب.

نستحم مرة كل أسبوعين وبسبب هذا التلوث أصابني أنا داوود مرض الكبد الوبائي , وتحملت الآلام الكبيرة لفتره طويله .

أستخدم بعض المحاليل والمسكنات لتخفيف الآلام المستمرة نتيجة هذا المرض.

وفي أوج إنتظارنا لعودتنا لبيتنا وإعادة بناء ما يمكن بناءه , فقد علمنا أن بيتنا أحرق ودمر ولم يبق من ذكريات طفولتنا شيئا ناهيك عن كل ما نملك في هذا البيت.

هذه الحرب سرقت أحلامنا وآمالنا في استكمال دراستنا في وقت كنا في آخر عام دراسي في المدرسة وكان تفوقنا مدعاة فخر لنا ولأهلنا.

كنت أحلم أنا داوود بأن أدرس هندسة الطاقة المتجددة للمساهمة في تطوير هذا القطاع في بلادي.

أما أنا بشرى فكان حلمي دراسة الطب لأعالج أبناء بلدي ومدينتي أو أي مريض أصادفه في حياتي.

مساعدتنا لإكمال دراستنا في الخارج ليست واجب عليكم , ولكن أملنا في هذا العالم باق رغم الآلام والمعانات , وتبرعاتكم ستمنحنا فرصة نحن بأمس الحاجة لها في ظل هذه الظروف.

Hola, somos los gemelos Daoud y Bushra Akila. Somos una familia de cinco miembros y hemos vivido en Gaza desde nuestra infancia.

Crecimos en medio de cinco guerras, además de la sexta guerra actual, que es la más difícil.

Diariamente hemos visto y seguimos viendo la destrucción de edificios y calles, además de los muertos y heridos.

Pocos días después de comenzar la última guerra, la ocupación nos obligó a dejar nuestra casa en la zona de Rimal y trasladarnos al sur de Gaza. Esto fue lo más difícil que hemos vivido, ya que dejamos atrás nuestra hermosa casa, nuestros recuerdos y nuestros sueños, con la esperanza de regresar en unos pocos días para continuar con nuestra vida familiar y académica y alcanzar nuestros sueños de continuar nuestros estudios.

Pasamos días muy difíciles en el sur del territorio, donde carece de cualquier medio de vida, ya sea agua o alimentos. Y si están disponibles, sus precios son muy altos, por lo que recurrimos a la comida enlatada cuando está disponible.

Apenas podemos dormir debido a los sonidos de los aviones, la artillería, los barcos de guerra, los bombardeos y los gritos y llantos incesantes de niños y mujeres, lo que nos causa un miedo constante.

Las enfermedades se están propagando debido a la falta de elementos de higiene. No hay gas ni electricidad, y cocinar y bañarse depende de la disponibilidad de leña.

Nos bañamos una vez cada dos semanas y debido a esta contaminación, yo, Daoud, contraje hepatitis, soportando grandes dolores durante mucho tiempo.

Uso algunas soluciones y analgésicos para aliviar los dolores constantes causados por esta enfermedad.

En medio de nuestra espera por regresar a nuestra casa y reconstruir lo que se pueda, supimos que nuestra casa fue incendiada y destruida, y no quedó nada de nuestros recuerdos de infancia, sin mencionar todo lo que poseíamos en esa casa.

Esta guerra robó nuestros sueños y esperanzas de continuar nuestros estudios en un momento en que estábamos en el último año escolar, y nuestro excelente rendimiento era motivo de orgullo para nosotros y nuestros padres.

Yo, Daoud, soñaba con estudiar Ingeniería de Energías Renovables para contribuir al desarrollo de este sector en mi país.

Y yo, Bushra, soñaba con estudiar medicina para tratar a los hijos de mi país y mi ciudad, o a cualquier paciente que encontrara en mi vida.

Ayudarnos a completar nuestros estudios en el extranjero no es un deber para ustedes, pero nuestra esperanza en este mundo permanece a pesar de los dolores y el sufrimiento. Sus donaciones nos darán una oportunidad que necesitamos desesperadamente en estas circunstancias.
