Fund Dr. Ali's Family's Safe Relocation

My name is Dr. Dan Milner and I am a pathologist who has worked in global health from more than 25 years. Through this work, I am connected to and have strong relationships with hundreds of pathologists around the world. I have spent tens of thousands of my one money to provide my pathologist colleagues with books, reagents and supplies, travel support, housing, etc. in pursuit of their increased knowledge to serve their patients. I am now reaching out for help for one of those pathologists and his family to save their lives.

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and colleague, Dr. Ali, and his family including his wife and two young children for your help in securing their safe relocation to Egypt from Sudan. Ali is a pathologist that I have personally met and work with on many projects for cancer care in Sudan who is both brilliant and devoted to the care of his patients. However, as you may be aware, the situation in Sudan, his home, has become increasingly perilous for its citizens. The ongoing war has left Ali's family in a constant state of fear for their lives. They have endured tremendous dangers to reach relative safety. The funds will be used to secure their legal residency in Egypt and provide them living expenses while they get back on their feet. The funds will be wired to Dr. Ali's bank in Egypt.

Their journey was harrowing; they had to rely on smugglers and navigate through conflict zones under constant threat. For seven months, they struggled amidst the chaos. They endured fifteen days without water, followed by power and electricity outages enforced by rebels. Their desperate search for water had them moving under gunfire. Eventually, they escaped in a convoy of over 100 cars, each loaded with armed rebels and weapons. They spent two months with other displaced families in precarious conditions, still vulnerable to chaotic bullet attacks. They then rented a house for a month, but tragically, the owner's sons were killed by rebels shortly after their departure.

Finally, they reached a safer city in Egypt. However, they are now without employment or financial support, facing an uncertain future with their young children. After enduring a year of immense suffering, their family managed to escape to Egypt. Their journey took three days through the desert, without food or water, and involved paying $2,000 to smugglers. They fled from Soba, a city near Khartoum, through an area filled with hundreds of armed vehicles and thousands of rebels, to another city where they stayed for a year as refugees within their own country. Unfortunately, their country is no longer a safe home for raising a family. During that time, Ali's wife and children suffered from malnutrition and the high cost of living. Ultimately, they decided to make the perilous journey to Egypt. Tragically, just a week after their arrival, hundreds of people attempting the same journey perished, their bodies scattered across the desert.
