Fund Fischer and Cecilia's Cross-Country Book Tour

Help us take a book promotion tour around the US from the East Coast to West Coast and back, across 23 states in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

We started writing The Art of Chain in 2020 as a lockdown project and labor of love to our community. We wanted to document our process so that others would be able to follow along and expand upon the concepts. During the next 18 months we researched, wrote, photographed, and tested our step-by-step directions through observation and refinement. By the end of 2021, we had a book’s worth of original content covering consent, negotiations, safety and over 220 images showing the techniques and how to combine them into scenes and experiences.

The Art of Chain shipped from the printer in October 2022 and has since sold nearly 1000 copies.

In the past two years, we have made several road trips up and down the east coast. We have been to other states as far west as Texas and Kansas to give presentations on our techniques Unfortunately we never had a chance to do a real US book tour until now.

This road trip will take us from Norfolk, VA to Portland, OR. Then from Seattle, WA to Houston, TX, and back home. All told we will be visiting 23 states in 26 days.

We need your assistance to defray the costs of this trip. We are attempting to keep our budget as low as possible.

We will be renting a car that can haul everything we will need for the trip and potentially housing us during inclement weather. Our plan is to rent a large hybrid SUV at an estimated cost of $1900. The estimated cost for gas traveling 7,373 miles is at least $1000.

We plan to reduce our travel costs by camping rather than staying in hotels overnight and preparing our own meals. We have lots of experience with camping from "glamping" at festivals to primitive build-your-own-bathroom situations. Some donations will go towards a food and grocery budget ($800-1,300) and some to the fees to camp at State and National Parks and private campgrounds ($500).

Any amount you can give will help us reduce our out-of-pocket costs and make this book and presentation tour easier.
