Fund for Andre's Funeral and Alonzo's Care

Tragically, early Saturday morning, December 14th, my brother, Andre Stewart, was viciously murdered on a military base in Augusta, GA.

Andre had just picked up his 5-year-old son, Alonzo, from DC and drove to visit a friend in Augusta. Alonzo witnessed the tragedy and was left alone with strangers until I was able to get to him.

Even though Andre was an active Army Reservist, the assailant is military, and the incident occurred on base, the Army did not pay or contribute to transporting Andre home nor will pay for the funeral services. The Army stated Andre did not die during active military duty and is not entitled to any immediate death benefits.

Andre was a young man starting to build his life and finances. While he ensured his son Alonzo will be taken care of in the future, when he becomes an adult, there are no funds available for Andre to be brought home and the funeral paid for. There are no funds for Alonzo to start therapy immediately as this will have a major impact on his life.

We are graciously asking for your support to give Andre a proper funeral that he well deserves and to get Alonzo the help he needs.
