Fund for Garrett Crichton's Funeral Expenses

My name is Lisa Petersen. My husband and I are creating this Go Fund Me page for our dear friends at the request of their Bishop. This fund is for helping the Crichton family with unforeseen expenses involved with the tragic loss of their son. There have been those who have already reached out and helped, and others who have asked to help. This will help the family ease the burden of dealing with this tragedy. This is my sweet friend, Garrett. You couldn't find a bigger heart! He has spent his life developing his love for art and writing. He wanted to be a professional artist and author. I gave him a sketchbook during our last visit and he hugged it like a favorite teddy bear! He loved to draw "fantastical creatures."

Many know him by his laugh. He loved to "cackle laugh" whenever he told about his newest drawing or recited his favorite lines from movies.

He had Aspergers, but his amazing family loved and supported him through all the ups and downs that come with it. His siblings: Griffin, Levi, and Sabrina are his biggest fan club.

He was recently on his way home from school when he was fatally hit by a vehicle. He was 19 years old.

They have been so touched by the outpouring of sympathy and love from so many. Thank you in advance for anything and everything you can do.

(The Company that runs this site wants me to include: 1. who I am in relation to the Crichtons: I have been their friend for nearly 16 years. The family asked me to set this fund up due to many people wanting to show their love and support for their family.

2. The plan for them to receive the money: The Crichton family will receive 100% of the donated funds, except for the fees that GoFundMe extracts. I will transfer the funds directly from my account to theirs. I have the Crichton's approval and help for this.

3. How the funds will be spent: These funds will help with any remaining funeral costs, possible medical costs, assistance while grieving and not working, etc.)
