Fund for Kenneth Fordham Sr’s funeral arrangements

Donation protected

My father, Kenneth Joseph Fordham Sr., most called him Kennie, to me, he was my daddy, was an amazing husband, father, uncle, grandfather and person. He was strong and larger than life. A loving man, that was very giving in nature, and never hesitated to help anyone in need. He took care of anyone and everyone in his life, from his immediate family to his nieces and nephews to his friends and their children, his grandchildren, and even raising many of my friends, as though they were his own children. My dad was incredibly intelligent and educated, and was the reason I had a love of reading, he started reading to me in the womb. He was never biased or quick to judge. His heart was filled with care and love. His sudden passing is an echo of silence in our family.

My father had many interests and hobbies. Kung fu movies were special  to him, and he loved to read, always having a book around. Comic books were his true passion though, he had been collecting them since he was a child. He was an animal lover through and through, having many pets over the years. He was a lover of true crime and video games. Due to his illnesses and being disabled, he stayed in a lot and they helped take his mind off of the sicknesses and the pain. He collected swords and knives, toys, anything with skulls. He was a cultured and interesting man.

My dad had sickle cell anemia, diabetes and was recently diagnosed with lupus. He had been sick for about 30 years and was in constant physical and emotional pain. This left him in a constant state of exhaustion, and he had gotten worse in his last year of life. Toward the end, he could barely get up most days, and relied on me, my mother and sister for a lot, which struck his pride, but we never minded, you care for your loved ones, especially your sick. His heart gave out due to the multiple illnesses and fighting those illnesses for so long. I know he fought so hard everyday, and  stayed with us for as long as he could.

Me and my family are asking for donations to help cover the funeral and memorial services costs, including transportation to the funeral home, floral arrangements, the viewing/repass, cremation, the reception, the urn, etc. We thank you all so much in advance for anything you can do to help us out.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and may you have a wonderful day. 2020 has been hard on everybody, “the year that keeps on taking” I like to call it, so I’m asking you all to stay strong in these trying times.
