Fund for Leonor Rivas

Our amazing colleague Leonor Rivas was part of the recent SCPR layoffs.

Leonor has been with the company for 14 years. She is one of the non-union employee who has not been offered alternative employment as part of the layoffs.

Leonor is a single parent supporting three children. We're fundraising to help her transition during this very difficult time.  

Here's a bit from her KPCC bio:

Leonor Rivas came to SCPR in 2007 from USC’s The Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, where she worked as the Executive Assistant to founding board member, Dr. Harry Pachon. Leonor has served as the assistant to the general manager, office manager and finance assistant. Leonor played an important role in bringing together our Leadership Councils as our community outreach liaison, under the direction of Edgar Aguirre. Currently, Leonor is the content department's administrator and executive assistant to Chief Content Officer Kristen Muller.
