Fund for Muhammad and Community in Occupied Gaza

Hello friends!

My name is Anne Marie Salgado, I'm on Miwok/Yokut land in so called California, United States, and I'm hosting a campaign for Muhammad Khaled, a 22 year old Palestinian activist living in the Deir al-Balah region of now occupied Gaza. I met him via X (formerly Twitter) through my established online community. He is asking those of us who have extra funds to contribute to this GoFundMe page, so he can redistribute them and use them to feed folks in his community.

As most of you already know, Palestinians in Gaza are experiencing extreme violence and starvation under the colonial occupier of Israel and have been for over 75 years. Since the beginning of October 2023, the settler state of Israel has murdered 31,645 Palestinians and injured 73,676 (as of March 17th, and the actual count is likely higher), the majority of whom are women and children. The settler state of Israel has blocked the majority of aid from entering the Gaza strip, and have targeted schools, hospitals, churches, and other safe havens for civilians in the name of "defending against terrorism". Israel the occupier uses propaganda to spread lies about the reality of their intentions and the situation, while targeting journalists who seek to tell the truth (over 100 journalists killed by Israeli Occupying Forces). The situation is: these tactics are part of a genocide that the settler state of Israel is carrying out against Palestinians.

This fund will directly benefit folks experiencing the most violence right now. These funds will be used to purchase food, water, medication, and PPE for folks in Muhammad's community. Gofundme does take a portion of the funds for "fees", so if you want to bypass that, feel free to donate via paypal directly. This is a drop in the ocean for how much aid Palestinians in Gaza actually need, but any amount sent makes a positive impact. Please share this fund as much as possible, and contribute what you can!
