Nichole's Celebration of Life

This fundraiser has been set up by Nichole's long term caregivers for her family during this difficult time. All proceeds will be given to the family to help pay for Nichole's end of life expenses. Her family wishes to hold a celebration of life for the lives that she touched.

Nichole's Story: 

Nichole was born with many disabilities, she was diagnosed with Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus, developmental delay, and many chronic conditions that accompany those. Despite being told she would only survive a couple years she made her way through 31 years of adventure. She was put through 19 surgeries, suffered 7 bowel blockages, and 5 strokes. Through the different strokes, she lost the use of both arms, her speech, memories and suffered emotional stress from having terrible anxiety of doctors, hospital and pain. She was always able to regain all of her losses with a few weeks of hard work, determination, courage and support from her loving caregivers and mom. But her biggest triumph was that she always returned with a bigger smile than before. 

Nichole unfortunately faced these extremely difficult health complications too many times that they became too tough for her body to overcome. She fought very hard up until it came time to make the hard decision of bringing her back to her home to live out the last bit of her life in comfort, peace, and love. She passed away surrounded by those she loved most, and that loved her very much.

She grew up with two sets of loving parents and two sisters, who helped give her the courage to overcome every challenge in her life. She was able to live in her own apartment with animals that she loved. She also had the love and support from many different caregivers over her life, that many became family. Her strength and love for all people, places and things around her were beyond words. She was always proving everyone wrong that told her should never be able to live the fullest life. She fought many things throughout her life and always came out on the other side with a bigger and brighter smile.

Anything given is so very much appreciated by all those that are closest to her. Nichole knows how much she was loved by everyone that met her, and she loved everyone just as much. Her heart went into everything that came into contact with her. Her family is so appreciative of all the support they have received already and any more that continues to flow in. We love you all, family always and forever.
