Fund Gloria's Path to Pain Relief
Donation protected
Recently, my dear friend Gloria had a yard sale. She was selling so much of her household that I thought she was moving. When I asked her about it, I discovered that she is trying to fund a costly medical procedure (Stem Cell Regenerative Therapy) that will significantly improve the quality of her life.
Gloria shied away when I suggested GoFundMe. However, I insist. Having a yard sale should be a luxury, not a Hail Mary.
Diagnosed at age 19 with Degenerative Disc Disease, Gloria is no stranger to pain. She has endured three back surgeries in the past two years. The pain of her disease quit being intermittent a long time ago. It is a constant that she must plan her entire life around.
What I admire most about Gloria is that despite everything, she habitually counts and recounts her blessings. She does not allow the details of her struggles to become the focus of her life.
Gloria is a full-time mom to a joyful nine-year-old son, Gabriel. For the past seven years, she's thrived with a full-time career at Azure Standard, who have been remarkably supportive. She has a faith community and a spiritual program of sobriety that, for over a decade, has enriched her life with blessings she never imagined possible.
Gloria's real Hail Mary is to get Stem Cell Regenerate Therapy to help her body heal. It will give her a chance at a quality of life she hasn't had for a long time.
It was by chance that Gloria met a doctor who specializes in this field of medicine, and she was offered an appointment. She also happened to qualify for the majority of the procedure to be pro bono. It was by chance that I saw she was having a yard sale, and maybe by chance you are reading this... (If you believe in chances.)
Together, let's give Gloria more than a chance. Let's get her that procedure so she can live her best life! Amen.
Please note: should Gloria exceed her goal of 12k for the procedure, the rest will go toward her already incurred medical debt. Thank you all so much!
