Fund Independent Reporting In Richmond Virgina

We have a state of emergency declared in Virginia!
And right now we’re seeing what looks like a massive police state closing in on the state capitol where there will be a huge rally on Monday.
This is a very divisive issue that’s generating a lot of media spin and disinformation. And chaos could break out in Richmond.
It is crucial that there be independent, on-the-ground reporting in Richmond, especially given what happened in Charlottesville — where many people argue police actually instigated some of the violence and things definitely got out of hand.
In the past, when massive Yellow Vests protests were taking place in Paris, I was there reporting on the ground and risking safety as protesters were losing eyes due to police brutality. I have also been to places like Somalia, Venezuela andCheran , once the most violent, dangerous area in Mexico. And more recently, I reported on the ground amid huge protests in Hong Kong.
Now lots of people are asking me to go to Richmond, so they can get the truth about what’s happening there.
So I’ve decided to go, if we can raise enough funds for it.
A trip to Virginia isn’t as expensive as going to Hong Kong, where I provided you in-depth, on-the-ground reports on one of the world’s most important protest movements.
But it’s not free either. I still need to cover airfare/gas, hotel and equipment expenses. And I’m planning on hiring a cameraman and video editor. I estimate this will cost around $1,500.
If you value reporting on the events in Virginia that is free of spin and manipulation and provides a real, honest look at what is happening, then your support is essential.
Thank you so much for funding independent media and for allowing me to continue doing the job I love!
