Fund Jackson's Fight Against Heart Disease

Jackson is a 6-year-old boy with severe multivessel congenital pulmonary vein stenosis, 3 vessel disease. He has had dozens of procedures to his heart since he was an infant. However, due to the proximity of the pulmonary vein stents to each other, it is becoming challenging though still possible to rehabilitate his pulmonary veins in the Cath Lab. Due to this situation, surgical approaches were considered. Jackson is scheduled for an open-heart procedure on August 7, 2024. We moved to Houston, Texas over three years ago for this very reason, so the news of the upcoming procedure was not as surprising to us. However, we were told that his recovery time in the hospital is expected to be at least 7-10 days.

Due to this, we are seeking financial assistance to help out for missed work and transportation expenses to and from the hospital while he is recovering. We live an hour away from the hospital and our older son who is 14 years old is not allowed to stay overnight (hospital policy). This causes us to choose between staying at a nearby hotel or driving home every night.
