Fund Jeff Thorsnes' Rehabilitation Journey

Hello, my name is Sarah Thorsnes and I’m doing this fundraiser for my father Jeffrey Thorsnes a loving father, husband and grandfather.

On April 17, my dad Jeff Thorsnes was airlifted to UC Davis Hospital after suffering, a severe brain aneurysm and stroke. He has been in the ICU for the last few weeks and has had 3 surgeries as of 5/6/2024.

My dad was lucky to survive the severity of the brain aneurysm. After the first life saving surgery, the surgeon conveyed to us that my father is still a very critical patient and this would be a very long recovery process. My father will be in the hospital until he is stable enough to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility. He may need to be in the skilled nursing center for 3 months. This being best chance for his recovery. I am hoping to raise funds to help cover the $10,000-$20,000 per month (depending on the length of his stay determines the monthly cost. Anything over 99 days the cost per day doubles) that insurance won’t cover.

Jeff has made a tremendous impact in many communities from San Diego California and all throughout Northern California. He’s been helping others over the last 33 years in multiple areas. When his granddaughter Jillian Grace (my daughter) was diagnosed with severe autism at age 4, my dad felt the passion and calling to join the Optimist Club to help make an impact in the community and the lives of children with special needs and their families. Jeff saw the struggles my daughter and I faced daily and he felt compelled to make a difference. Jeff is currently the President of the Oroville Optimist Club in Northern California. Jeff has always mentored people in need and the youth in the community. His heart is as big as it gets. Now he is in a situation where he needs help to get better so he may continue to do the good and rewarding work he does. My dad has always thrived in helping others. I truly believe that if Jeff can get this care in the rehabilitation program he will get better. Per the doctors and specialists, h
